There are between 250 and 500 people in the Birck building every day. If you make a mess clean it up. If you have an event clean it up. Be aware of others around you. Don't start moving chairs and walking into conference rooms without checking to see what else may be going on for the day. We all have to work together so please be courteous to others.

E-Beam Resist

A user commented that they observed HSQ e-beam resist being used improperly by another user. This is very expensive resist and needs to be handled carefully and with proper protocols in order to preserve the unused portion for other users. Proper handling includes using the proper container and preventing exposure to incompatible materials. Bill Rowe will publish a memo to the e-beam user community on proper use and handling of all e-beam resists including HSQ.

Equipment Enabling

Please remember to always enable equipment in Coral just prior to use, and then disable it immediately after use. We have had a number of occurrences recently where users forgot to disable the equipment, and this blocks other users from using the equipment because Coral indicates it is still in use. Over time this can lead to increased equipment rates. Also, a serious violation is to not enable equipment in Coral but use it anyway. This is taking revenue from Purdue, a serious issue. Thanks for your cooperation.?
