The all User Meeting is scheduled for the dates below:

Cleanroom Chemical Exhaust Shut Down

To add chemical exhaust for the future laboratories, a required shut down of our solvent and acid exhaust systems for the BIO cleanroom and main cleanroom are needed.  This interruption will require shut down of all toxic gases, cleanroom fume hoods, and cleanroom chemical research equipment.  The general laboratories will not be affected by this interruption unless research requires toxic gases.

The exhaust shut down is planned for January 7, 2014 from 7 AM to 4PM.  The exhaust fans will remain running but the static pressure will drop below safety limits when the sheet metal contractors cut into the main chemical exhaust ducts.

CLEANROOM: The cleanroom will be shut down on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. No one is allowed in the cleanroom during this period.
HAZARDOUS GASES: No hazardous gases will be available in the building during this period.
BIOCLEANROOM: No exhaust will be available in the biocleanroom. Non-chemical activities may be carried out.

GENERAL LABORATORIES: General laboratories will operate as normal, but no hazardous gases will be available.

Travel

The IRS recently announced new standard mileage rates when using a personal vehicle for business reasons.  Rates are based on the fixed and variable costs of operating a vehicle.

Effective for travel on or after January 1, 2014, the privately owned vehicle mileage rate will change from 56.5 cents per mile to 56 cents per mile.
