The deadline for TECHCON 2012 abstracts is this Wednesday, February 22.

Please make sure you know that you need web accounts and need to be in the SRC student database associated with SRC sponsored research BEFORE submitting an abstract. Submit abstracts as soon as possible to make sure all the requirements are met by the posted deadline.

Subject: SRC TECHCON 2012 - Call for Abstracts

It is with great pleasure that SRC announces TECHCON 2012 to be held September 10 - 11, 2012 at the Renaissance Hotel in Austin, Texas.

TECHCON is designed to foster technical interaction among SRC's academic, government, and industry communities. The TECHCON 2012 program will include up to 16 technical paper sessions showcasing research funded by SRC research programs through the presentation of 144 papers and accompanying posters. Technical paper presentations will be fifteen minutes in length and will be organized according to related technologies. TechFair will feature a poster display from each presenter based on his/her presentation. TechFair sessions provide an excellent opportunity for students to discuss their research projects in a one-on-one setting. TECHCON 2011 received rave reviews for sessions including papers from GRC, FCRP, and NRI students. This year we will be adding presentations from ERI students. TECHCON 2012 will be a two-day event focused on students within one-year of graduation. This Call for Abstracts is extended to all GRC, FCRP, NRI, and ERI researchers to invite their students to submit abstracts of original research. Since TECHCON 2012 is open only to the SRC community, authors are not precluded from publishing/presenting in the open literature at a later date.

Abstract submission<http://www.src.org/calendar/e004114/> is now open! Deadline for submission is 3:00 p.m. eastern time on Wednesday, February 22, 2012. We encourage you to post the attached announcement in a prominent place and encourage your students to submit abstracts this year. Thank you for your excellent research and ongoing support of SRC.  We look forward to seeing you and your students at TECHCON 2009.
