*BIRCK ANNUAL REVIEW: SAVE THE DATE!!!*

*Monday, 04.19.10, 9:30AM to 4:30PM, MRGN 121.* We are planning the next
annual review and will pass information along to you as it becomes
available. Please mark your calendars now so that you are able to take part
in this annual event.



*POSTER PRINTING*

An EPICS (Engineering Projects in Community Service) Resource provides a
poster printer, which is housed in the Burton D. Morgan Center for
Entrepreneurship building (room 233).  This resource is not a part of
Discovery Park.  The EPICS group provides students each semester to print
posters for any faculty, staff, or student of the Purdue community.  There
is no charge for this service.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS*

The BNC has recently established a new graduate student and postdoc exchange
program with the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research
(JNCASR) and GE Global Research's John F. Welch India Technology Centre in
Bangalore, India. For more information about the program, please visit:

from researchers interested in 8–20 week experiences at JNCASR during the

Birck Nanotechnology Center staff will be notified of an emergency situation
by telephone in the order set out in the BNC’s Phone Tree (personnel should
have a copy on hand in their offices and homes; contact Deborah Starewich,
if you do not have the most recent copy; distributed on Thursday, 09.13.09).
BNC faculty members will receive an e-mail message from Monica Allain or Tim
Sands.

Members of the Faculty (Professors and Research Professors) are responsible
for contacting each of their group members, including graduate students,
undergraduate researchers, postdoctoral fellows and research scientists.
Specific instructions should be conveyed by phone if possible. All graduate
students should register for the Purdue University e-mail alert system at
