India 4 is now Sustainable Waste Management (SWM)
In partnership with 2 international community partners, the team’s objective is to address issues relating to waste management and tackle them by developing eco-friendly solutions. Lab times: Wednesday 8:30 - 10:20am
Our team partnering with Vardhaman Institute is working to recycle fish waste generated in a local fish market in Hyderabad by producing a low-cost fertilizer. The other team, collaborating with MIT Vishwaprayag University, aims to reduce food waste generated in their college cafeteria by predicting demand, and repurpose the wasted food into compost for the garden on their grounds.
