Relevant phenomena occur at different spatial and temporal scales. Finding the best trade-off between accuracy and computational burden often advocate implementation of analytical limits, rather than mere numerical algorithm optimization. My research interest relies on finding these analytical boundaries.

ALFONSO CAMPOS

About

Alfonso is a PhD candidate at the School of Materials Engineering of Purdue University. He earned his B.Sc. in Engineering Physics from Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2000 and his M.Sc. in Energy Engineering from the same institution in 2002, back in his home country, México. He started his career in Samsung Display LTD., then moved to General Electric Co. and worked in the Energy and Aviation divisions.  After working 11+ years in industry and a brief role as an entrepreneur, he acquainted his passion for research and teaching and decided to start a journey for a research-faculty position.
