Purdue Chem-E-Car Executive Board
The Team
The Executive Board consists of 5 student leaders, each of whom were elected to their respective positions by the rest of the members of Purdue Chem-E-Car. The executive board is charged with ensuring that the car is being developed in an efficient, effective manner, and holds weekly meetings to discuss anything from new chemical reactions to power systems to finances to safety concerns.
President
Bradley Shannon — blshanno@purdue.edu
The President oversees all of Purdue Chem-E-Car, leading executive board meetings and general group meetings. The President is the face of the organization and works hard to ensure that the organization runs smoothly, all groups are working efficiently, and sponsorships are acquired.
Vice President
Tim Garby — tgarby@purdue.edu
The Vice President is responsible for group development within the organization by planning social events, as well as manages the social medias for Purdue Chem-E-Car. The Vice President works with the President to ensure Purdue Chem-E-Car is properly funded through sponsorships.
Treasurer
Urvi Mathur — umathur@purdue.edu
The Treasurer maintains all finances within the organization, approving purchases and keeping strict documentation of all monetary expenses and deposits. As part of their duties, the Treasurer leads the planning for trips to any competitions that the team may attend.
Secretary
Kenneth Meng — meng139@purdue.edu
The Secretary is responsible for ensuring that all members are up-to-date on any paperwork and enforcing the general attendance policy. The Secretary maintains documentation of all attendance to supplement the President in assigning grades for all members of the organization.
Safety Officer
Devin Capece — capece@purdue.edu
The Safety Officer is responsible for all Standard Operating Procedures, safety training, lab hygiene, chemical inventory, and hazard containment/disposal. The Safety Officer also serves as an intermediate between Purdue Chem-E-Car and Purdue Chemical Engineering's Safety Department.
