Ben is currently working on a Ph.D. degree under the advisement of Dr. Garimella.  His research focuses on studying fluid flow and heat transfer phenomena in single-phase liquid and two-phase water/steam systems using microscale diagnostic techniques such as infrared micro-particle image velocimetry and laser-induced fluorescence thermography.  He graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engeering in 2004.  As an undergraduate, Ben studied melting and solidification in cylindrical systems.
