Amanda Stone


Amanda is a current D-PhD Mechanical Engineering student at Purdue University and is co-advised by Dr. Justin Weibel and Dr. Davide Ziviani. She recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a BSE in Mechanical Engineering and minor in Voice Performance. Her current research project is on embedded sensing in heat exchangers, and her past research includes developing novel techniques to characterize materials properties for Intel and characterization of carbon fiber composite laminates with embedded buckypaper for ARL under Dr. Aditi Chattopadhyay at ASU. Outside of research, Amanda is the FY24 Coordinator-Elect for the SWE Leadership Development Program Beginner Track, self-produced singer-songwriter, and competitive dancer.
