Discovery with Delivery
The Joint Transportation Research Program facilitates collaboration between the Indiana Department of Transportation, higher education institutions and industry to implement innovations that result in continuous improvement in the planning, design, construction, operation, management and economic efficiency of the Indiana transportation infrastructure.
Current Research
JTRP brings together faculty, staff and students from various colleges and schools. Annually, approximately 60 faculty, 70 staff, 170 graduate students and 120 undergraduate students have the opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders from government and industry to conduct research that improves the safety, efficiency and economic impact of our transportation systems.

Purdue Road School is co-sponsored by JTRP and the Indiana Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) and attracts over 3,000 Indiana local and state officials, consultants, and suppliers each year. Important updates on pertinent transportation issues, as well as sessions on topics of general interest, are provided in the two-day conference.
