Executive Board:
President: Caitlyn Elizaga

The President of the Purdue BMES chapter oversees the chapter's Executive Board in order to implement goals to
(1) serve as an ambassador for BME students,
(2) encourage intellectual and social development,
(3) connect students with peers, faculty, industry, and community, and
(4) promote the ongoing activities of the National BMES Chapter. In addition,
The president acts as a liaison to faculty, administration, and outside organizations, as well
as the BME Graduate student program (BMEGSA).
Vice-President: Abigail Russell

The Vice President is in charge of planning and executing community service events. In addition,
they serve as a liaison between Purdue BMES and the Biomedical Engineering
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee. They actively participate in faculty DEI meetings,
coordinate semesterly Open Forum events, and contribute to organization leadership, growth,
and various other support initiatives.

The Secretary is responsible for keeping records of all meetings. Additionally, they serve
as a liaison with the BMES National Chapter and promotes membership, both nationally and locally.
They also connect Purdue BMES and the school of Biomedical Engineering through weekly email updates.
Treasurer: Dalton Aaker

The Treasurer manages all assets that happen within Purdue BMES. The Treasurer is responsible for
records of all transactions that occur, as well as distributing and collecting funds in accordance
with decisions made by the Executive Board.
Director of External Relations: Nora Mick

The Director of External Relations manages all BMES corporate sponsorships and works with external
relations for resource allocations. The Director of External Relations is responsible for connecting
BMES with a variety of resources outside of BME by identifying and applying to diverse sources of funding.
Director of Social Programming: Shreya Sinha

The Director of Social Programming plans social events within the Biomedical Engineering students and
focuses on connecting students with students and faculty. The Director of Programming is in charge of
organizing fundraisers with the Treasurer when necessary. The Director of Programming also serves as a
liaison for the programming committee.
Director of Mentorship: Saahil Varma

The Director of Mentorship is in charge of planning and hosting meetings within the Biomedical Engineering
students and focuses on connecting students with students. The Director of Mentorship is responsible for
guiding juniors and seniors to mentor sophomores as they enter the Biomedical Engineering major.
Director of Professional Development: Allison Matovitc

The Director of Professional Development plans industry-related events within the Biomedical Engineering
students and focuses on connecting students with industry members. Additionally, the Director of
Professional Development serves as a liaison for the professional development committee.
Director of Outreach: Sidney Jachimowicz

The Director of Outreach acts as a bridge between Purdue BMES and the broader Purdue community.
The Director of Outreach organizes events and opportunities to volunteer, give back, and promote
the knowledge of Biomedical Engineering within the community.
Director of Marketing: Kianna Gill

The Director of Marketing is responsible for communicating upcoming mentorship meetings,
programming and professional development events, and updating the Purdue BMES website with
current news and events. They do this by managing and maintaining the Purdue BMES
social media accounts and posting information and updates of events.

The Sophomore Representatives work to support their corresponding committees by learning the appropriate skills for each committee. Additionally, they are responsible for advocating for the sophomore class and their best interest. Sophomore Representatives are determined in the Fall Election.

Indianapolis Representatives:
The Indianapolis Representatives work to integrate Indianapolis and West Lafayette. They are responsible for advocating for the Indianapolis campus and their best interest. Indianapolis Representatives were determined in the Fall Election.
