About the Operations Center

Niswonger 145 was originally designed to be a computer lab and has primarily served that purpose. The room has since been reorganized and dedicated to function as an Operations Center. This Operations Center serves several purposes for the Aviation Technology Department and consists of five interdependent stations.

The five flexible work stations are as follows:

  1. Maintenance Operations
  2. Dispatch/Scheduling Operations
  3. Air Traffic Control Operations
  4. Weather Operations
  5. Ramp Monitoring Operations

The Operations Center monitors all fleet related activities in real-time. As a fully functional, multifaceted Operations Center, our Operations Center works in a way similar to an Operations Center in the Airline industry.
