The Mohr's Circle
The following Java applet demonstrates the concept of the Mohr's
Circle and how it is related to the rotation of a plane cutting
through a stressed cube. It is not intended to be used as a
calculator, but as a visual tool for understanding the relations and
uses of a Mohr's circle. By varying the value of theta, you can
control the angle at which a plane cuts throught the cube. The
resultant normal and shear stresses on this plane are shown in red as
SN and TN respectively.
