WHY NCAUPG SHOULD CONTINUE

• Partnership of key players
• A united voice is stronger than single states
• More economical to exchange information than to collect everything by self

WHY NCAUPG SHOULD NOT CONTINUE

• Are needs being covered by other organizations?
• Too many meetings

ACCOMPLISHMENTS DURING FIRST FIVE YEARS

• Supplier certification program developed
• Non-Superpave test procedures standardized
• Asphalt binder specification adopted by most states
• Networks have been set up to share experiences

GOALS

• Form and/or support local agency/industry groups
• Collect information regarding benefits
• Evaluate uniform Superpave binder, aggregate and volumetric mixture design specifications
• Evaluate uniform QC/QA
• Monitor constructability issues
