Anand Sivasubramaniam is a Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Penn State University, and a Consulting Advisor for Tata Consultancy Services. He received his B.Tech from IIT Madras in 1989, and Ph.D. from Georgia Tech in 1995. His areas of research are in computer architecture, operating systems, and performance modeling. He has made several notable contributions to designing and evaluating high performance computer systems, energy efficient hardware and systems software, and power management of datacenters. He has led industry groups in reducing the power consumption of 3 production datacenters. His research has been funded by several governmental agencies and industries. He has received an NSF Career award, 3 IBM Faculty Awards, 3 Google Research Awards, an HP Innovation award, and a Penn State Faculty Teaching Award. He is an ACM Distinguished Scientist and is an IEEE Fellow.
