Welcome to the Structural Health Monitoring and Dynamics Laboratory (SHM&D) at Purdue University. Our research focuses on the development of novel technologies for Structural Health Monitoring and Smart Structures as well as on the fundamental understanding of the physical processes governing the wave propagation and the dynamics of structures and engineered materials.
Our work finds several applications in aerospace and mechanical systems and aims at developing technologies for the next generation of smart, highly reliable, and multi-functional structures.
