Welcome to the Structural Health Monitoring and Dynamics Laboratory (SHM&D) at Purdue University. Our research focuses on the development of theoretical and computational methodologies for structural analysis and material design. This research is strongly interdisciplinary and includes topics ranging from structural and continuum mechanics, to condensed matter physics, to applied mathematics.

Our work finds several applications in aerospace and mechanical systems and aims at developing technologies for the next generation of smart, reliable, lightweight, and multi-functional structures.
