Information for Industry
Are you looking for interns from Agriculture majors who are high-achieving leaders with good communication skills and research experience? Then you are looking in the right place.

Purdue Agriculture’s Food, Environment, Engineering and Life Sciences (FEELS) Program, funded by an S-STEM grant from the National Science Foundation, recruits, retains, and prepares high-achieving/ low-income/ underrepresented students to succeed as professionals in all facets of Agriculture.

The FEELS program provides a cohesive, articulated program that combines support, study skills, seminars, writing and oral communication skills, and mentorship. Each FEELS fellow participates in undergraduate research with a Purdue faculty member and completes the Leadership Development Certificate Program (LDCP).

FEELS students are quickly becoming leaders in their academic departments, and are involved in many different clubs and organizations. During the summer between their junior and senior years, these exceptional students participate in industrial internships. This year our juniors are majoring in Animal Science (Animal Behavior, Pre-Vet and Animal Production), Plant Pathology, Wildlife and Agricultural & Biological Engineering. We encourage you to consider how these high-achieving future leaders might contribute as a summer intern with your company. For more information, please contact Shawn Donkin at:

If you want to become a FEELS industrial mentor to help our program equip the students to succeed in industry, please contact Mr. Barry Delks at: or Shawn Donkin at:

Hurry, these exceptional students won’t last long!
