AMANURE Software

Create a subdirectory on your computer (such as amanure). Download the AMANURE program to that subdirectory. The AMANURE program is compressed (pkzip'ed) into the following file:
amanure.zip

Once you have downloaded this file, use the DOS program pkunzip to uncompress/unzip the program (pkunzip *.zip from the DOS prompt in the amanure directory).

After the program has been uncompressed, start the program using the amanure command at the DOS prompt in the amanure directory.

A second method for copying the software to PCs in PUCC labs is the following:

  1. login using your ASM 336 class account
  2. start a DOS window and create a directory on the C: drive for the AMANURE software (mkdir amanure) and change directories to that location (cd amanure)
  3. copy the AMANURE program from the ASM 336 class account using the following: copy k:\amanure\. .
  4. start the AMANURE program (amanure)

Helpful hints:

This program is best run in a full screen. If you are running this from a MS Windows DOS window, use the Alt Tab keys to make the DOS window full screen.
