Welcome to the Distributed Systems and Networking Lab at Purdue University.

The Distributed Systems and Networking Lab at Purdue University studies and develops software systems and protocols for distributed environments. We are conducting research in distributed systems, operating systems, mobile wireless networking, and architecture. We are also interested in the close interactions among these foundational systems areas, such as architectural support for operating system designs and network services for ad hoc networks.

Our recent research focuses on developing program counter based techniques for the I/O management in operating systems, on improving peer-to-peer overlay networking infrastructures, and on exploiting the synergy between peer-to-peer and Grid computing and mobile ad hoc networking to address key technical challenges in these areas.

Our research is currently supported by the National Science Foundation, Cisco Systems, Honda R & D Americas, and Purdue Research Foundation.
