Fundamentals of Transportation Engineering
23 July 2021.
The 7th printing of the second edition is available at
academicpub.com.
Since the publication of the first edition of Fundamentals of Transportation Engineering in 2004,
numerous changes in the practice of transportation engineering have taken place:
-
The publication of new manuals (e.g., The Highway Safety Manual)
-
New editions of existing manuals (e.g., MUTCD, HCM, AASHTO Green Book) that
change the methods to be applied to transportation engineering problems.
-
Increased interest in transportation's role in sustainable development.
-
The emergence of new technologies such as
unmanned aerial vehicles
and connected and automated vehicles.
As a result, changes have been made to keep the textbook as up-to-date as possible.
The changes made for the 7th Printing are summarized in
a pdf file.
The
Preface to the Seventh Printing
includes the Table of Contents.
