........................ Group Image

The Miller research interests in the heterogeneous catalysis synthesis for production of energy and environmental protection. Catalytic reactions include alkane dehydrogenation with alloy metal nano-particles, zeolite conversions of light alkanes to fuels, and olefin oligomerization by novel Lewis acids. The group also has expertise in characterization of catalysts under realistic reaction conditions of high temperature and pressure, especially X-ray absorption spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction at the Advanced Photon Source, in situ infrared, atomic resolution STEM, in situ X-ray photoelectron spectroscopies.
