CE 603 Homework Intersection / Error Propagation
- retrieve programs and data from the following link
- block results, intersection code, cep-code (.zip)
- select a passpoint visible on many images (max 15). using provided
code and covariance data, perform the
intersection using 2,3,4,...,n images and obtain the 3x3 covariance matrix for
the intersected point. do this for each of 4 cases: full photo covariance
matrix, block diagonal photo covariance matrix, diagonal photo covariance
matrix, and fixed camera parameters (see variable cov_opt in ints.m)
- for each of the 4 cases, make a table with 2,3,4,...,n across the top,
and the following statistics down the side:
- x90,y90,z90 (1D), x90,y90,z90 (3D), x'90,y'90,z'90 (uncor),
ce90,le90,se90,ratio=Ace90/Aee90, and ratio=Vse90/Vee90.
- note you will have to modify cep1.m for circular error, and create
using the same technique a spherical error program.
- for each of the 4 cases plot se90 vs. number of photos
- make an attempt to optimize the order of the photos so that the plot
falls to minimum most quickly.
- due two weeks, march 13.
