CE 503 Homework Fall 2004
- homework 1. interpolation and
resampling you will need this image.
read text 4.1.4, and 6.3. due wednesday, 8 september.
- homework 2. resampling for image
rectification due friday, 17 september.
- homework 3(a). relative orientation, pairwise rectification,
and anaglyph stereo. take two digital photographs of a static
scene, with some depth. by approximate measurement (pacing, etc.)
try to arrange a base/height ratio of around 0.3. try to keep the
object distance the same for each photo so that the autofocus
function maintains approximately the same focal length. you may
use a film camera (which can be scanned) or a digital camera.
use the highest resolution possible and the least compression
possible. (if you do not have access to a camera, we can loan you
one). when you have two photos, measure a number of well distributed
tie points (conjugate points). we would like to have 15-30 of these
points. make sure they are really the same point. using information
from the camera estimate the focal length in millimeters and pixels
(if no other info - use 0.005mm per pixel). due wednesday, 6 october.
- homework 3(b) see the writeup due
wednesday, 20 october.
- homework 4. triangulation and map compilation.
