KONCA is believed to be the biggest arms depot of Turkish Navy. No reports of damage.
The surrounding of KONCA was hill side, but probably built partly on reclaimed land.
Minaret was under construction. No apparent damage to it.
Note the toppled unreinforced wall.
But the minaret on the west side was not lucky. Total collapse.
New shore. Some 30-40 meters of land is under water. Including the Municipality building.
The sea looks, cunningly, very calm.
The only collapsed wood-frame brick-infill house I have seen.
First story collapsed. Again, lucky to have strong neighbors.
