This copper cross was made as a gift to my mother-in-law. July 2010 (12 inches)
Arms are made out of 1” copper pipe. The triune shape is made out of steel ball bearings welded together. The copper pipe is carefully forged with a hammer to shrink the copper. The horizontal piece is cut and welded with copper to the vertical piece. Since the copper work hardens     quickly, it is annealed in the fire often.
