AWARDS
AISC Faculty Fellowship Award for Research (2003 - 2007)

This four year award provides unrestricted funding for conducting fundamental research on the development
of innovative long-span floor systems for multi-story residential steel structures. It involves conceptualization,
development, design, detailed analysis, and experimental evaluation of 30 x 40 ft. floor systems for multistory
steel structures. Performance criteria for construction loads, service loads, ultimate loads, fire resistance and
floor vibration limit states are being investigated and optimized.
