EE640C An Introduction to Satellite Based Navigation

Course Information

Credit: 1 hour, week 11-15.

Prerequisite: EE544 or permission of the instructor.

Description: The purpose of this mini-course is to present a comprehensive description of satellites based navigation systems. The course will emphasize the communication and signal processing aspects of these systems. The course will describe the characteristics of basic navigation, mapping, and positioning techniques along with the concepts of synchronization and time measurement with particular emphasis on the Gobal Positioning System(GPS).
