This specialized course is now to be offered every other Spring, depending on

student interest.  It is being offered in Spring 2026, and was previously

offered more than 15 times, beginning in 1999.  The next time the course is to be offered is in Spring 2028.

Since Prof. Alexeenko began offering a rarefied gasdynamics course

in Fall 2006 (AAE590D), the rarefied-flow portion of 519

has mostly been replaced with other material.   Also, since Prof. Poggie

is now offering a Nonequilibrium Hypersonic Flow course, less time will

be devoted to that portion of AAE519.   Contact the instructor if you are interested.

The course materials are undergoing remediation per the ADA Title II Ruling. Much of

the information that used to be posted here had to be removed in 2026 to limit the cost of

complying.   If you experience difficulty accessing materials, please contact the course

instructor.
