Kinetic motion of the toy is a result of a pair of \u00c3\u0192\u00c2\u00a2\u00c3\u201a\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c3\u201a\u00c5\u201ctentacles\u00c3\u0192\u00c2\u00a2\u00c3\u201a\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u009d on each side of the octopus rotating in a full circle around two shafts. This rotation is made possible by a motor that powers gears, which are assembled in a particular ratio in order to generate more torque rather than speed.
