Takayuki Shihara

Takayuki received his Bachelor of Engineering in Control Engineering from Kyushu Institute of Technology in 2022. He then joined Kawakatsu Lab/Deep Space Mission Design Laboratory at JAXA/ISAS, where he earned his Master’s degree in Astrodynamics from the University of Tokyo in 2024. During his master’s program, his research focused on the influence of solar gravity on gravitational capture by the Moon. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the same laboratory and is joining Purdue University as a visiting scholar. In his free time, he enjoys football, listening to music, and watching Japanese anime.
