Here's the information on the 2004 license renewal
for Fluent.  Please let me now if the 2004 proposed Fluent
cost sharing outlined below is agreeable to your department.
I need to hear from you by noon, Tuesday, March 23.


The March 4, 2004 FLUENT quote for
renewal for License #639 is:

Fluent Teaching/Research 24-process license @ $3420
 -Includes SUN Fluent/Gambit Software
ADD LINUS & WINDOWS Fluent/Gambit Software @ $200
ADD 8 Parallel Processes @ $250
ADD Flowlab Teaching 25 process license @ $1000
 -Includes WINDOWS FlowLab Software
 -Includes 25 Exceed Licenses

Note the net cost of Fluent went up from $2975 in 2003
to $3325 in 2004.  I traced this increase to:
    Linux platform now counted as a separate hardware
       platform with a $100 charge (in 2003 Linux
       was lumped with Solaris for no charge)
    8 Parallel Processes with a $250 charge (in
       2003, it had no charge)

Based on how the 2003 fee was divided,
I propose we divide the $3350 charge as:
