Roger Federer competed in the inaugural Rod Laver Cup last year - a tournament similar to golf’s Ryder Cup that pits Team Europe against Team World.
Four of the six players on each team are chosen on rankings after Wimbledon while the other two are captain’s picks.
John McInroe and Nick Kyrgios will go up against Federer and Bjorn Borg at the tournament in September but Federer has revealed that could all change next year with women being keen to take part too.
"Down the road I'm totally open to anything," Federer said.
"I've heard already from women players. They would love to do it as well."
