Federer is gunning for his ninth Wimbledon title this month and he breezed past Dusan Lajovic with a straight-sets win in his first match. The Swiss star is expected to wrap up this afternoon’s tie in similar fashion and he is second on Centre Court. Federer’s match is expected to get underway around 3pm and he will be hoping to avoid the nerves he had during his opener. “Yeah, it was good. I was nervous in the warm-up, in the five-minute hitting,” Federer said.

“When the match started, I really felt like nerves settled. I returned well quickly. I felt my legs were moving. “That's then what gave me the confidence quickly to see like, Okay, I think I know very quickly within two to four games what I need to do to cause problems for Lajovic. “Also Severin and Ivan gave me good advice. I think that all settled my nerves. “It took me faster than six games to figure everything out. Court played great. It's wonderful. Wonderful to be back here.”

How to watch Roger Federer vs Lukas Lacko on TV The BBC is once again the prime broadcaster for Wimbledon and they will be showing all the action live. BBC Two will be the main channel for the first week as they will be showing play from 11.30am through to 8.30pm. BBC One will also be live from south London between 1.45pm and 2.30pm and then again at 5.10pm until 6pm. Alternative courts will also be available on the BBC Red Button. Both of BBC’s terrestrial channels will also be showing the second week’s action but the main matches will be on BBC One from Thursday, July 5.
