And a player-plus-cash deal has been proposed, with Paulinho, Andre Gomes, Rafinha or Yerry Mina all supposedly on offer for Chelsea.
MD add that Barca are crunching the numbers to try and find the cash for the transfer.
It is claimed Willian may have to take a drop in his £110,000-a-week Chelsea wages to finalise the move.
Paulinho last summer joined the club from the Chinese Super League and took a pay cut for the privilege.
Mundo Deportivo claim Barca are working out how they would fund the deal.
More details of Willian’s proposed transfer from Chelsea to Barcelona have emerged.

Gomes battle
Arsenal will have to scrap it out with Tottenham for Barcelona outcast Andre Gomes, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
Arsenal are in the market for new signings as they look to bolster the squad Unai Emery inherited from Arsene Wenger ahead of next season.
Strengthening in midfield is a top priority following the captures of Bernd Leno, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
Arsenal have been heavily linked with the likes of Lucas Torreira, Ever Banega and Aleksandr Golovin so far this summer.
It seems the Gunners could move for Gomes too after Barcelona showed a willingness to sell the Portugal international.
According to Di Marzio, Arsenal are one of two teams showing interest in Gomes, who’s rated at £35m (€40m).
Tottenham are also keen on the 24-year-old as Mauricio Pochettino seeks to build on another promising campaign.
Fekir latest
Nabil Fekir is still being linked with a move to England with both Liverpool and Manchester United thought to be keen.
But Lyon boss, Bruno Genesio, has now opened up on his future as France prepare to face Uruguay in the World Cup quarter-finals on Friday.
“I am working under the assumption that he will stay with us. He wants to take the next step,” he said.
“The president has offered him the chance to leave. We will see after the World Cup. If Nabil is here, it makes my job easier.
“I would be happy to keep him. I think that he is looking at two possibilities: to stay to play the Champions’ League with us or to leave to join a bigger club.”
Ronaldo to Juve
Juventus are confident of signing Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid this summer.
Ronaldo’s future in Madrid is uncertain with a new manager coming in and Florentino Perez’s reluctance to increase his salary.
Ronaldo, now 33, is being offered a stunning £26.5million-a-year deal for the next four years.
And, according to the Mirror, Juve are growing confident of getting the deal done.
