His four goals in the 5-0 win over Watford at the weekend took his Premier League tally for the campaign to 28 and is the top scorer in Europe’s five top leagues. But his electric form has led to suggestions some of Europe’s elite clubs could try to prise Salah away from Anfield in the summer. Liverpool yielded to a £142million offer from Barcelona in January for Philippe Coutinho to leave the club. However, the Telegraph claim the Reds are in such a strong financial position that they have no need to sell Salah, whatever the offer. The report points to the fact Jurgen Klopp is yet to spend any of the £142m from Coutinho’s sale while £50m will also be available due to reaching the Champions League quarter-finals.
