The pair are both holidaying on the Spanish island and Cadena COPE say the meeting was organised by Javier Pastore. Pastore has a close relationship with both Messi and Verratti as he plays alongside the duo for club and country. A spokesperson representing PSG told Marca that Verratti is not for sale at any price. 08:02: Zinedine Zidane has tried to convince Alvaro Morata not to leave Real Madrid for Manchester United, it has been claimed. Spanish newspaper Marca report the Real boss doesn't want Morata to be sold. The Spaniard scored 19 goals in 43 games last season and only completed the full 90 minutes in La Liga five times. Despite that, Zidane sees him as a key part of his squad. 01:45: Granit Xhaka is hoping his Arsenal team-mate Alexis Sanchez stays, but admits he’s not surprised the world’s best clubs want him.
Manchester City have been closely linked, while Bayern Munich are eyeing a deal for the Chilean, who is out of contract at the Emirates next summer.
Xhaka has seen Sanchez at close quarters, and when asked whether he will leave: “I hope not, of course,” the Swiss international said when asked about Sanchez’s possible departure.
“He has qualities on the pitch which are incomprehensible. He has made many goals, and is also enormously important outside.”
