Nadal made it seven wins out of seven against John Isner in his China Open quarter-final match, winning it 6-4, 7-6.
He has also beaten Lucas Pouille and Karen Khachanov along the way as he remains on course to win his first China Open title since 2005.
Dimitrov meanwhile has had a much tougher route to the semi-finals, going the distance against Damir Dzumhur in the opening round.

He will also be bidding to ensure he finishes the season as world No 1.
