It's been nearly three decades since we've seen the likes of two-sport stars like Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders play both Major League Baseball and in NFL in the same year.
It takes a special talent to be drafted in both sports. While many have accomplished the feat, only a few ever reached the major league level -- and were successful at it.
The list of NFL stars drafted by an MLB team is long, from Troy Aikman to John Elway to Tom Brady to Russell Wilson.
The NFL draft begins Thursday, but don't expect a future baseball player in the mix, especially since the draft was shortened to seven rounds in 1994.
Here is a list of players that reached the major leagues who were also selected in the NFL draft (Note: first year of the MLB amateur draft was 1965):
