Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard is on the verge of reaching a career milestone and setting franchise mark.
Lillard is 12 points away from not only reaching 10,000 career points, but becoming the fastest player in franchise history to do so.
The three-time All-Star has 9,988 points in 440 career games and will likely eclipse the 10,000-point mark when Portland faces the Toronto Raptors on Friday.
Currently seventh on the Blazers' all-time scoring list, Lillard needs 16 points to pass Jim Paxson (10,003) for sixth.
Upon reaching that mark, Lillard will be one of four active NBA players -- along with LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Durant -- to score 10,000 points in their first six seasons.
Here's a look at the top 10 scores in Trail Blazers history:
1. Clyde Drexler 18,040
