An already stacked Travelers Championship field just got a little deeper.
Jim Furyk, Zach Johnson and Bryson DeChambeau committed Tuesday, joining a group that includes Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas and reigning Masters champion Patrick Reed.
“It’s exciting to see some of the top PGA TOUR professionals continue to commit to our tournament,” Travelers Championship Tournament Director Nathan Grube said. “Jim, Zach and Bryson all bring an incredible level of talent to our field, which continues to get better year after year.”
All three players are making return visits to TPC River Highlands. Furyk, the 2003 U.S. Open champion, famously set a PGA Tour scoring record in 2016, firing a final-round 58 to electrify the Cromwell galleries and surge up the leaderboard. The 47-year-old has collected 17 wins on the PGA Tour.
Johnson, a two-time major winner, is a frequent Travelers Championship competitor, finishing in a tie for third for his best finish back in 2004. His most recent of 12 career Tour victories came at the 2015 British Open.
This marks the third Travelers appearance for the 24-year-old DeChambeau, whose unorthodox game has made him a draw throughout his two seasons on the Tour. He won his first event, the John Deere Classic, in 2017.
This year’s tournament will be held June 18-24. For more information, visit TravelersChampionship.com.
