LeBron James helped the Cleveland Cavaliers overcome an Andrew Wiggins-inspired Minnesota Timberwolves.
Wiggins, against the team that drafted him with the first pick of the 2014 draft, scored 41 points but James’ 25 points and 14 assists led the reigning NBA champions to a 116-108 victory.

Kevin Love, who joined the Cavaliers in the trade which saw Wiggins leave, has been ruled out for six weeks with a knee injury but replacement Channing Frye enjoyed a fine evening, scoring 21 points in Cleveland’s sixth win in seven games.

The Toronto Raptors lost for the third straight game as the Chicago Bulls recorded a 105-94 victory.
Doug McDermott scored 20 points, with Jimmy Butler adding 19 and 12 assists as the Bulls beat Toronto for the 11th successive game.
The Sacramento Kings recorded a fourth successive victory to move within a game of the play-off places in the Western Conference.
