Lionel Messi's goal against Villarreal saw Barcelona go five points clear at the top of La Liga, but it also had some deeper significance for the Argentine star.
It was his 525th strike in the famous Catalan colours, putting him joint third in the pantheon of goalscorers for a single European club.
The goal drew him level with legendary German striker Gerd Muller, who also managed 525 goals during his 15 years with Bayern Munich.

THE TOP TEN 10: Dixie Dean (Everton) – 383 9: Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid) – 420 8: Jimmy McGrory (Celtic) – 468 7: Eusebio (Benfica) – 473 6: Uwe Seeler (Hamburg) – 507 5: Jimmy Jones (Glenavon) – 517 3=: Gerd Muller (Bayern Munich) - 525 3=: Lionel Messi (Barcelona) – 525 2: Josef Bican (Slavia Prague) – 534 1: Fernando Peyroteo (Sporting) – 544
The 30-year-old is now just nine goals off Josef Bican in second, the Czech-Austrian star who scored 534 times for Slavia Prague between 1937 and 1948.
And he is within striking distance of overhauling the record holder, Fernando Peyroteo.
The Portuguese striker found the back of the net 544 times for Sporting Lisbon between 1937 and 1949.
With 14 in 15 already this season, Messi could even plunder the 20 goals required to overtake Peyroteo before the end of the 2017-18 campaign.
If Messi has even grander ambitions, he still lies some way off the world record set by Pele during his spell at Santos.
Cristiano Ronaldo is ninth on the list of the top 10 goalscorers for a single European club
The Brazil legend found the net a staggering 643 times in 18 years there - leaving Messi needing another 119 goals to become the record holder.
As he turns 31 next June, the Barcelona star faces a race against the ticking clock.
His great rival, Cristiano Ronaldo, trails behind on 420 Real Madrid goals.
