With the Winter Olympics almost upon us, these are the athletes to watch as action gets underway in PyeongChang.
Shaun White (USA) – Snowboard half-pipe
The two-time Gold medallist will drop into the Olympic half-pipe for the fourth time, and will look to improve upon a fourth place finish at Sochi in 2014.
Regarded as the benchmark in snowboarding for more than a decade, the 31-year-old has 18 X Games medals to his name and has constantly pushed the boundaries of the sport, developing new tricks such as the Double McTwist 1260.
White is going into PyeongChang after taking home the gold at the US Grand Prix, finishing with a perfect score and beating Australia's medal hope Scotty James.

Kleveland has dominated both slopestyle and big air disciplines for the past two years.
The 18-year-old was the first snowboarder to land a quad cork 1800 and has enjoyed two remarkable years heading into his first Olympics.
Kleveland will start the competition full of confidence off the back of an X Games Gold medal in slopestyle and a silver medal in the new event Big Air.
Chloe Kim (USA) – Snowboard half-pipe
The 17-year-old first made her mark at the 2014 X Games, when she won a silver medal at just 13. But despite her second-place finish in the lead up to Sochi, Kim was too young to compete, and has had to bide her time for four years. However, in those four years the Californian has come to dominate the sport.
To date, Kim has won four X Games gold medals and won the Gold at the Winter Youth Olympics in Lillehammer 2016.
Marcel Hirscher (Austria) – Alpine skiing
Hirscher has been at the top of the sport for a number of years, winning six consecutive world championship titles.
Hirscher has a total of 55 world cup wins and 120 podiums, and is regarded as one of the most successful athletes in the sport.
Attending his second Olympics, Hirscher will look to improve on his silver medal finish in Sochi and bring home the Gold.
Yuzuru Hanyu (Japan) – Figure skating
The figure skater from Japan is a medal favourite for PyeongChang after winning the gold in Sochi for the men's figure skating event.
The 23-year-old has broken 12 world records and won multiple world championships.
Hanyu is the first figure skater to perform a quadruple loop in competition successfully, and the first to land three quadruple jumps in competition.
Javier Fernandez (Spain) – Figure skating
Spanish figure skater who represented Spain in the 2010 and 2014 Olympics.
In a country where ice skating is a niche sport at best, Fernandez is looking to win Spain's third Winter Olympic medal.
Kamil Stoch (Poland) – Ski jumping
One of the most successful ski jumpers in the history of the sport, Stoch returned from Sochi with two Olympic gold medals.
Stoch has had a successful lead-up to the games, winning all four competitions in the Four Hills Tournament.

Martinod retired for five years, which included having a daughter, before coming back to the sport.
In the lead up to the Games, Martinod has won three world cups and won X Games gold in 2017.
Ester Ledecka (Czech Republic) – Snowboard parallel slalom and alpine skiing
Ledecka will make history if she competes in both events at PyeongChang.
Ledecka competed in Sochi 2014 in the snowboarding parallel slalom, and won gold at the world championships for the snowboard parallel slalom event.
The 22-year-old is currently ranked 52nd in Alpine skiing, with her best event being downhill, where she is ranked 7th.
