CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Those attending fireworks displays in downtown Cleveland this Independence Day are more secure thanks to the work of the government department that is the most frequent target of President Trump's deplorable disparagement.
The FBI thwarted a plot by a domestic al-Qaida terrorist wannabe to kill people attending the Independence Day fireworks display at Voinovich Park, in downtown Cleveland, using a bomb-laden van.
Demetrius Pitts was arrested on a terrorism charge after corresponding with an undercover FBI agent about his diabolical plots for attacks in Cleveland, Philadelphia and other locations.
Pitts had walked around Cleveland scouting potential targets before settling on the Fourth of July fireworks display at Voinovich Park.
Pitts was living at a physical rehab center in Maple Heights and is a Cincinnati native.
Notably, Pitts was not colluding with any of the 2,000+ migrant infants and children the Trump administration has caged in detentions centers in Texas and across the nation on this Independence Day, accused of being U.S. security threats and recruits or members of MS-13.
Stephen Anthony is the special agent in charge of the Cleveland Division of the FBI, which caught Pitts before he terrorized Cleveland. Anthony was appointed to his position in the Cleveland Division by then FBI Director Robert Mueller, another favorite target of Trump's disparagement.
People are wondering what should replace the huge Sherwin Williams' building banner of LeBron James that was taken down Tuesday. I would suggest considering other Cleveland MVP's, like Stephen Anthony and his fellow agents in the FBI.
