CLEVELAND, Ohio -- As you may have heard by now, LeBron James announced he would leave the Cleveland Cavaliers for the second time, to become a Los Angeles Laker for at least the next three years, plus an option year.
LeBron left to pursue new challenges both on and off the court. He gets the chance to work with Magic Johnson and chase titles playing for one of the most storied NBA franchises of all time. Plus, Los Angeles itself provides LeBron the opportunity to continue to grow his brand.
To win another championship, LeBron will have to overcome some challenges. No. 1 being to beat his old nemesis, the Golden State Warriors, who are in the same division and who just added Demarcus Cousins to their already loaded roster .
LeBron will also need to coexist with two characters who put the LA in LA LA Land, point guard Lonzo Ball's loudmouthed-pop LaVar and former ear-blowing Indiana Pacer turned Laker Lance Stephenson.
Best wishes, LeBron!
