Kevin Durant earned $25 million this NBA season. That’s more than enough to afford the social media monitor he so desperately needs.
Don’t play dumb. By now, the whole Twitter-trolling, Instagram-picking world is aware of Durant’s latest social media misstep:
Scrolling through Instagram on his phone recently, Durant “liked” a post criticizing former Oklahoma City teammate Russell Westbrook, sending thousands, maybe millions of lurkers into peals of apoplexy. Specifically, the post asserted that Westbrook was the problem when he and Durant played together on the Thunder.
Kevin, is this true, or did you maybe pocket-like the post in question?
“Total accident,” Durant told ESPN. “No story here.”
There’s always a story where Durant and Westbrook are concerned.
Remember September? Durant, using an unverified Twitter account, disparaged the Thunder’s roster and coach Billy Donovan. The Twitter account turned out to belong to Durant, who came clean.
“That was just me being a total (expletive) idiot,” Durant said. “I own up to it. I want to move on from it.”

Warriors Tonight: Heavy hearts on both sides entering Game 3 Two takeaways here. Why can’t Durant and Westbrook just move on from each other?
