Steve Carell was the 40-Year-Old Virgin, and now Tom Brady is the 40-year-old MVP.
The New England Patriots quarterback locked up his third regular season MVP award Saturday night at the NFL Honors. It was Brady’s first MVP since the 2010 season.
At 40 years old, Brady joins Barry Bonds as the only other athlete in the four major sports to win an MVP award at 40. Tomorrow, Brady will look to add to his trophy room with a sixth Super Bowl title and fifth Super Bowl MVP award.
It’s a stunning feat to win the MVP award, but to do so at Brady’s age is almost unheard of. Looks like there’s no slowing down for the Golden Boy.
By the way, Julian Edelman accepted the award on behalf of his quarterback. Touching.

Tom Brady gets MVP while Jimmy Garoppolo has better stats better hair and never lost a single game. Systems rigged, man. — Evan (@EvanSowards) February 4, 2018
