Syracuse, N.Y. -- Darius Bazley will be represented by Rich Paul of Klutch Sports, according to a story by Adam Zagoria in the New York Times.
Paul, a close friend of LeBron James, also represents James, Ben Simmons, John Wall and Michigan State's Miles Bridges, among other clients. Bazley, the 6-foot-8 forward from Ohio who once signed a national letter of intent to play at Syracuse, announced last month that he would forego a season of college basketball to begin a professional career in the G League.
Bazley's decision stunned Syracuse coaches and followers of college and youth basketball.
There had been rumors a couple weeks ago that Bazley was reconsidering his G League decision, though his high school coach Steve Wright ended that gossip in a text message. Bazley's hiring of a sports agent puts to rest any further rumors of him ever playing college basketball.
