Floyd Mayweather has responded to rumours that he and Conor McGregor have finally reached an agreement in regards to their proposed ‘super fight’.
MORE: McGregor and Mayweather reportedly reach a deal
The Irish Sun reported on Tuesday that a source from inside the McGregor camp confirmed that respective payments for the fight had been settled on, and that the bout would be going ahead.
“Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather have agreed [on] a deal to fight and have both settled on their respective fees,” the source told The Sun.
“The contract hasn’t been officially signed yet because of a third-party hold-up, but all the details have all been agree on.
“The fight could even be announced within two weeks.”
McGregor has previously denounced The Sun, claiming they, “didn’t know s***,” about him, and now it appears Mayweather has played down the report as well.
